Okay so I have this necklace and it has a little gold birdcage with a bird in it (like, a pendant but it's three-dimensional and not really small enough to be called a pendant, so not a pendant at all really), which if I were to ever have the kinds of dreams that would make me question reality in ways that are more than "oh I thought that was real D:" after I wake up, THEN THAT WOULD BE MY TOTEM.

ok. so. my totem is a small swiss army knife (that I actually got IN Switzerland!!) AND NOW IT COMES WITH ME EVERYWHERE!!!!
